Tweed DeMax
A 5E3… elevated into an entirely different universe.
The TomaTone Tweed De Max begins with the soul of a classic 5E3 Tweed Deluxe, but nothing inside this amplifier is “stock,” “standard,” or “off-the-shelf.” Every part is reinvented, upgraded, hand-selected, and tuned for maximum sonic integrity, bigger headroom, deeper harmonic complexity, and a professional-grade reverb circuit that the original circuit never dreamed of.
This is more than a Tweed, more than a Deluxe, and absolutely more than a clone.
This is the Tweed De Max — the ultimate modern tweed circuit built without compromise.
TomaTone Amps are all hand build, one at time. So if you want one, get in line.
The Kendrick Amplifiers and TomaTone Relationship
Kendrick & TomaTone
The Legacy, The Transition, The Future
Kendrick Amplifiers helped define the boutique amplifier era with their one-at-a-time hand-wired builds and dedication to authentic vintage tone. With the passing of Gerald Weber, the founder and visionary behind Kendrick, new amplifier offerings are no longer being produced — but the legacy of tone, craftsmanship, and knowledge lives on.
Today, Bryan Toma continues that legacy by providing Kendrick-level technical support, diagnostics, servicing, and consulting. His work with Kendrick over the years — combined with his own boutique building expertise — forms the backbone of the modern relationship between Kendrick and TomaTone.
The Kendrick Legacy
For decades, Kendrick Amplifiers set the benchmark for premium tweed-style amplifiers — each one hand-wired, one at a time, in the USA. Gerald Weber’s relentless pursuit of tone shaped an entire generation of builders and players, and his circuits continue to influence boutique amp design today.
Although new Kendrick models are no longer being produced, the brand’s influence remains strong, and its amplifiers are cherished by collectors, touring artists, and tone connoisseurs.
